They were very concerned about people from ICE, with masks on their faces, mistreating people, dragging them out of cars, stomping on their heads and arresting them. We\u2019ve seen oftentimes they\u2019ve done that to American citizens, and they did it in error.\n\n\u201cThey were also concerned about the immigrants who were taken out of our community that do so much good in our community. So I\u2019m writing a letter to Kristi Noem and reminding her that she said that they were going to get \u2018the worst of the worst\u2019 \u2013 the murderers, the rapists, the sexual offenders. She\u2019s not doing that. They\u2019ve decided they\u2019re going to get anybody in the country improperly, and that\u2019s wrong. They\u2019re taking time going after working people in our community, and not concentrating on the \u2018worst.\u2019 I will write to the Trump administration to ask them to take ICE out of Memphis. It shouldn\u2019t be part of the surge they\u2019ve got to help us with our crime problem.
