The measure establishes a grant program to help state, local, and tribal law enforcement agencies purchase body-worn cameras, implement body-worn camera programs, and report to Congress on the impact and effectiveness of the use of body-worn cameras. A version of this bill was included in the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act.\n\nCongressman Cohen made the following statement:\n\n\u201cOver the past several years, the wider availability of video has shined a much-needed light on deadly encounters with law enforcement.
