My resolution, which has the support of 29 of my colleagues in the House of Representatives, details President Trump\u2019s unacceptable behavior as President and expresses a lack of confidence in his service. On Wednesday morning, I held a press conference with Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX), Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-NJ), and Congresswoman Judy Chu (D-CA), to introduce the resolution. I was proud to cosponsor the bipartisan Voting Rights Amendment Act, which would fully restore and modernize the original Voting Rights Act of 1965 to reflect today\u2019s societal needs and challenges. You can watch the forum\u00a0here and\u00a0here.\u00a0\nQuestioning DOT Officials on School Bus Safety\u00a0\nOn Tuesday, during a House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Hearing, I questioned safety officials from the U.S. Department of Transportation about school bus safety and contracting oversight issues for bus drivers that may have contributed to the deaths of school-aged children in Chattanooga, TN and Baltimore, MD in November 2016. Watch my remarks\u00a0here.\nCongratulating Rachel Heck on Her Performance at the U.S. Women\u2019s Open\n  (Photo: Kyle Terada / USA TODAY Sports)\nLast weekend, St. Agnes sophomore Rachel Heck made Memphis proud with her performance at the 2017 U.S. Women\u2019s Open Golf Tournament. At 15 years old, Rachel was the youngest competitor in the field this year and is one of the greatest, if not the greatest, native Memphis golfers ever. I enjoyed following Rachel at the U.S. Women's Open and I wish her the best as she continues her golf career at St. Agnes and then at Stanford University.
