While serving Kentucky\u2019s 1st Congressional District, Mollie Kate and Ella assisted staff with constituent casework, responding to constituent inquiries, and providing general office assistance.\n\n\u201cMollie Kate and Ella were a tremendous asset to my Tompkinsville office this summer, and I appreciate their assistance to my staff and constituents across Central Kentucky. I look forward to following along with their future endeavors and accomplishments,\u201d Congressman Comer said.\n\nMollie Kate Webb, a Glasgow native, is pursuing her undergraduate degree from Oklahoma State University in Agricultural Leadership with a minor in Campaigns and Lobbying.\n\n\u201cI thoroughly enjoyed working for Congressman Comer in the Tompkinsville office this summer. Getting to see the effort and intentionality that went into serving each and every constituent, knowing that there are individuals who represent constituents with such passion and pose is something that I admire greatly and hope to implement those qualities into every role I fill,\u201d said Ms. Webb.\n\nElla Smith, an Albany native, is pursuing her undergraduate degree from the University of the Cumberlands studying Economics.\n\n\u201cThis internship taught me a lot about what our federal government does for constituents on a day-to-day basis. It also showed me what a future career in government might look like for me,\u201d said Ms. Smith.\n\nIn Congressman Comer\u2019s District offices, interns may be asked to do a variety of things, including day-to-day office work such as answering phones, writing letters and assisting with media clips.
