Connolly released the following statement on restoration of the full $150 million federal contribution to Metro in the Omnibus Legislation:\u201cI am pleased that the Omnibus legislation restores full funding of the federal government\u2019s $150 million contribution to Metro\u2019s ongoing safety and capital improvements. To renege on that commitment would cause a serious ripple effect throughout the region, jeopardizing the matching $150 million from Virginia, Maryland, and D.C. and threatening the progress needed to restore safety and confidence in Metro.
