Jim Cooper (TN-05) today announced several changes to his staff.\nCharlane Oliver is Rep. Cooper\u2019s new Nashville-based community liaison and field representative. A resident of Goodlettsville, Oliver previously was communications director for the Williamson County Chamber of Commerce, and will also join Rep. Cooper\u2019s communications team. A Vanderbilt University graduate, Oliver holds a master of public administration degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She is the founder and board president of The Equity Alliance, a nonprofit group focused on minority civic engagement.\nBrandi Jackson, a Dickson native, is Rep. Cooper\u2019s new Washington-based scheduler. A former paralegal and editor who attended Belmont University, Jackson is responsible for planning Rep. Cooper\u2019s meetings in Washington and organizing office logistics.\nJohannes Fischer is Rep. Cooper\u2019s new Washington-based legislative correspondent. A Vanderbilt University graduate, Fischer handles constituent mail, works on digital communications and helps research policy issues. Both Jackson and Fischer formerly worked in Rep. Cooper\u2019s Nashville office and received promotions before arriving in Washington.\n\u201cI\u2019m so happy to have Charlane, Brandi and Johannes on my staff,\u201d Rep. Cooper said. \u201cThey are energetic and deeply committed to helping Middle Tennesseans.\u201d\nOliver replaces Alandis Brassel, a Vanderbilt University Law School graduate who served as counsel in Rep. Cooper\u2019s Nashville office. Brassel is now the director of programs at the Arts &amp; Business Council of Greater Nashville.
