Craig\u2019s bill would permanently reauthorize federal resources that help expand outreach to potential low-income Medicare beneficiaries and boost enrollment efforts.\n\nThese resources are set to expire on October 1. They have been extended with bipartisan support 11 times over the past 15 years.\n\nMedicare open enrollment begins on October 15 and runs through December 7.\n\nThere are currently more than 1 million Minnesotans enrolled in Medicare.\n\n\u201cGiving low-income seniors the information and support they need to get enrolled in Medicare will help improve health outcomes and make our country stronger \u2013 that\u2019s why it\u2019s so important that we make these outreach and enrollment resources permanent,\u201d said Rep.
