This grant will give the department an increased ability to meet their staffing and workforce needs, as well as ensure that Minnesota\u2019s public health infrastructure has access to the resources needed to safeguard public health.\n\nThis grant was funded in part through the American Rescue Plan, which Representative Craig helped pass last year.\n\n\u201cBy investing in our public health infrastructure, we are investing in our communities\u2019 safety and wellbeing. This federal funding will help our state\u2019s public health systems effectively address any staffing and workforce needs and ensure that our Minnesotans are able to access the care they need \u2013 and I know it will bring great benefit to communities across Minnesota,\u201d said Representative Craig.\n\nThis year, the CDC has provided $3.2 billion in funding through the Public Health Infrastructure Grant to help state, local and territorial jurisdictions across the United States strengthen their public health workforce and infrastructure.
