He built his first gaming computer when he was 11 years old and is passionate about coding, programming, and hardware development. He plans on utilizing his gifts to become a computer engineer.\n\n\u201cCongratulations to Jai McCabe for winning the Congressional App Challenge for the second year in a row,\u201d said Rep. Crane. \u201cHis skills and work ethic are commendable, and I look forward to seeing him in Washington, D.C. soon!\u201d\n\nJai\u2019s app, Galago, adapts the keyboard to the hand to increase typing speed and comfort, almost entirely eliminating pain as a result.\n\nThe Congressional App Challenge is a prestigious prize in student computer science. Participation in the challenge has grown exponentially since the program\u2019s inception.\n\nMost students who win this challenge are just learning how to code a fully functioning app from start to finish.\n\nAs the winner of the 2024 Congressional App Challenge, Jai will receive the following:\n\nRecognition: Rep. Eli Crane and the Congressional App Challenge community will officially recognize the achievement. The winning app will be:\n\nDisplayed in the US Capitol Building for one year\n\nFeatured on House.gov for one year\n\nFeatured on CongressionalAppChallenge.us\n\nCertificate of Achievement: A formal certificate acknowledging the victory in the 2024 Congressional App Challenge will be presented by the office of Rep.
