The resolution recognizes Texas\u2019 proud legacy of military service and calls on Congress to strengthen its commitment to supporting veterans and their families.\n\nCrockett was joined by a bipartisan group of Texas colleagues including Representatives Casar, Castro, Crenshaw, Doggett, Escobar, Garcia, Fletcher, Vicente Gonzalez, Gooden, Green, Johnson, Luttrell, McCaul, and Veasey.\n\n\u201cTexas is home to more veterans than any other state in the nation\u2014and each one of them represents a story of courage, sacrifice, and love of country,\u201d said Congresswoman Crockett. \u201cThis resolution honors their service, uplifts their legacy, and reminds us that our duty to our veterans does not end when their military service concludes. From improving access to healthcare and housing to increasing mental health services and job opportunities, we must match their service with our support.\u201d\n\nTexas has nearly 1.6 million veterans, including the largest population of women veterans in the country.
