Davids secured $610,000 for the project, which is one of 14 she delivered for Kansas\u2019 Third District to strengthen community safety, improve local infrastructure, and expand economic opportunity across the region.\n\n\u201cThis storm drainage project in Princeton will help prevent flooding, protecting homes, businesses, and critical infrastructure while ensuring the community is ready for future growth,\u201d said Davids. \u201cBy working with local leaders to identify fiscally responsible projects, we\u2019re making smart investments that strengthen local economies, create jobs, and give families and small businesses the confidence to thrive.\u201d\n\nThis project includes ditch repairs, tube replacements, and other upgrades to better manage water flow and reduce flooding throughout Princeton. These improvements will enhance the city\u2019s ability to manage, treat, and recapture stormwater and subsurface drainage water, helping prepare for future storms while making the community safer and more resilient.\n\n\u201cWe are grateful for the efforts of Representative Davids to bring funding to the City of Princeton,\u201d said Paul Bean, Executive Director, Franklin County Development Council. \u201cThese funds will help this rural community make improvements to the streets and storm drainage that would not be possible without this funding.\u201d\n\nEarlier this year, President Trump signed two bipartisan funding agreements into law, both supported by Davids, which included 14 of her project requests to improve education, public safety, and water infrastructure across Kansas\u2019 Third District.
