This bill makes urgently needed fixes to the PPP, so it can work as intended for all Kansas small businesses. I urge the Senate to take up this bipartisan bill right away, said Davids.\n\nThe bipartisan Paycheck Protection Program Flexibility Act will increase flexibility and access to PPP loans including by:\n Allowing forgiveness for expenses beyond the 8-week covered period to 24 weeks and extending the rehiring deadline;\n\tIncreasing the current limitation on nonpayroll expenses (such as rent, utility payments and mortgage interest) for loan forgiveness from 25 to 40 percent;\n\tExtending the programfrom June 30 to December 31;\n\tExtending loan terms from two to five years; and\n\tEnsuring full access to payroll tax deferment for businesses that take PPP loans.", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://davids.house.gov/media/press-releases/davids-takes-action-help-kansas-workers-and-small-businesses-votes-pass-key"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.0141481179744005, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
