Rep. Dean has been advocating for better stricter drinking water regulation that accounts for sensitive populations and children since she entered office.\n\n\u201cI have been fighting alongside advocates for many years in hopes of seeing change like this,\u201d Rep. Dean said. \u201cClean water is a right and I am incredibly glad and grateful that the EPA has made this decision \u2013 as we move forward we must be more mindful of what is flowing into our waterways.\u201d\n\nThe Safe Drinking Water Act is intended to regulate and address drinking water contaminants found in public water systems without placing undue burden on state, local, or tribal governments.\n\nRep.
