Peter DeFazio (OR-04) today wrote to FEMA Administrator Peter Gaynorpushing FEMA to approve the state's requestfollowing September's devastating wildfires.\n579 housing unitswere lost in September's Holiday Farm Fire, and impacted Lane County residents are still awaiting stable housing arrangements.\nIn the letter, DeFazio wrote, The holiday season is now upon us with Thanksgiving fewer than three weeks away and the return to normalcy feels further away now than it did a month ago. FEMA has been able to approve temporary housing missions in three counties so far with no action in Lane County. It is beyond time for FEMA to approve the State's request for a temporary housing mission in Lane County.\n  InOctober, the Oregon delegationwrote to the FEMA Administratorurging support for aDirectHousing Mission in Lane County.
