The agreement would, among other things, allow families to live and work in the U.S. for three years while receiving housing, mental health, and legal assistance to apply for asylum.\n\n\u201cThe Trump administration\u2019s cruel separation of children from their families at the border was immoral to its core. These children were escaping violence, only to have further cruelty thrust upon them after crossing our border in search of a better life. This was child abuse.
