It is also estimated to reduce America\u2019s carbon emissions by 40 percent by 2030 through bold investments in electrification and energy-efficient products.\n\nFor Washington state, the new law offers several types of savings on energy-efficient products and appliances. This includes up to:\n\n50-100% discount on home energy efficiency and electric appliances\n\n30% discount on home solar and battery installation\n\n$7,500 for electric vehicles\n\n$8,000 for heat pumps\n\n$5 per square foot for energy efficiency in commercial buildings\n\n\u201cThe Inflation Reduction Act is a huge victory for Washington state,\u201d said DelBene. \u201cWe are leading the charge in tackling the climate crisis and expanding access to sustainable, clean energy resources. This new law lowers energy costs for families and small businesses while creating good-paying jobs across the state as our clean energy economy and manufacturing sectors grow.\u201d\n\n\u201cThe Inflation Reduction Act matches our values and will enable us to act on our climate goals faster. Values are critically important, but the actions they lead to are the only thing that matters in the fight against climate change,\u201d said Bothell Mayor Mason Thompson. \u201cThank you to Congresswoman DelBene and the rest of our federal delegation for passing this legislation.
