DelBene secured the investment in the FY24 federal funding law.\n\nThe project will equip Bellevue police officers with body-worn cameras, a vital tool for boosting transparency and trust with the public. This technology will improve patrol efficiency, streamline incident investigations, and enhance crime prevention efforts. It will also ensure safer, clearer encounters between officers and residents, reinforcing community confidence in local law enforcement.\n\n\u201cThis federal funding is a step forward in improving community safety and police accountability,\u201d said DelBene. \u201cBy providing Bellevue police officers with body-worn cameras, we are ensuring transparency and building trust between law enforcement and residents.
