Congressman Chris Deluzio (PA-17) co-sponsored the bill that was led by fellow Pennsylvanian, Rep. G.T. Thompson (PA-15). It has since passed the Senate and awaits being signed into law by the President.\n\nThe Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act provides schools with the flexibility to offer whole and 2% milk options, helping ensure children receive the nutrition they need to grow, thrive, and succeed in the classroom and beyond.\n\n\u201cParents should have the freedom to choose what kind of milk their kids get at school,\u201d said Congressman Deluzio. \u201cBut current federal programs do not allow kids to have whole or 2% milk at school lunch programs.
