This is an increase of more than $655 million from the data collected as of July 2024 ($1.63 billion).\n\n\u201cSince I was sworn in to the Congress, I\u2019ve been laser focused on bringing home federal money for projects that will make life better for the people of Western Pennsylvania,\u201d said Congressman Deluzio. \u201cToday, I\u2019m proud to announce that since I\u2019ve been our Congressman, we\u2019ve seen more than $2.2 billion in federal grants and contracts back into our community. From defense contracts creating work for local manufacturers, to grants for highways, or funding law enforcement, this federal funding is making a real impact in the lives of my constituents.\u201d\n\nAt an event on Neville Island, PA highlighting his Administration\u2019s bridge repair efforts, Governor Josh Shapiro took the time to highlight Congressman Deluzio\u2019s dedication to bringing home federal investments for the people of Western Pennsylvania.\n\n\"This Congressman has been a bulldog when it comes to bringing funding back to Pennsylvania from his perch on the Transportation Committee in Washington,\u201d said Governor Josh Shapiro. \u201cThe Congressman said it: he\u2019s brought $2.2 billion so far back to Western Pennsylvania, including for these massive road and bridge projects. This number only includes prime grants and contracts that were outlaid between January 3, 2023 and September 30, 2024.
