As a result, we have had to run the government on these stop-gap measures that continue that add economic uncertainty and prevent the private sector from creating jobs.\n\n\u201cThe House did its job and passed the Path to Prosperity, a commonsense budget that will decrease both spending and the size of government so that we can finally get our nation\u2019s fiscal house in order. I was proud to vote in favor of this legislation.\n\n\u201cI stand very firm on my belief that until the Senate can pass their own budget, they need to adopt ours. Unfortunately, this continuing resolution would fund the government through November 18, 2011 at an annual level of $24 billion above the House-passed Ryan budget.\n\n\u201cWe must not capitulate in our mission to get our nation\u2019s reckless spending under control.
