Collins will be one of the newest members of the Rules Committee, which holds jurisdiction over every piece of legislation coming to a vote by the whole House of Representatives.\r\n\r\n\t\u00a0\r\n\r\n\tCollins said, \u201cIn the 114th Congress, committees are where we\u2019ll be doing the hardest work in turning this country around. I\u2019m honored to be in a position to make Northeast Georgia\u2019s voice heard as every piece of legislation makes its way through the Rules Committee to the House floor.\u201d Collins added,\u00a0 \u201cOn the Judiciary Committee, I\u2019ll be working even harder on ways to encourage innovation and intellectual property for the next generation.
