This initiative, conducted in conjunction with the Montana 250th Commission, features monthly spotlights on Montanans of note ahead of America\u2019s 250th anniversary. Each month centers on a different theme or category\u2014May is Public Safety, Justice, and Law Enforcement.\n\nRead the full recognition below:\n\nThis month, I am proud to recognize Supervisory Agent Andrew Yedinak, who has devoted his career to protecting vulnerable individuals and combating some of the most difficult crimes facing our communities.\n\nAndrew has served in law enforcement for more than two decades and joined the Montana Department of Justice in 2017. Throughout his career, he has worked in patrol, undercover narcotics operations, SWAT, major case investigations, and internet crimes against children investigations.\n\nToday, Andrew leads Montana\u2019s Human Trafficking Unit within the Division of Criminal Investigation, where he works tirelessly to protect victims and bring traffickers to justice.\n\nHis efforts have helped raise awareness about the realities of human trafficking in Montana and across the country. Through his work with survivors, law enforcement agencies, and community organizations, Andrew has become a leading voice in the fight against exploitation and abuse.\n\nIn addition to his investigative work, Andrew has been a strong advocate for mental health awareness within law enforcement, encouraging first responders to openly address the trauma and challenges they face in the line of duty.\n\nAndrew\u2019s dedication to protecting others and supporting those in need reflects the very best of Montana.
