Millions of Americans get a tax INCREASE \u2013 more and more each year, in fact.\nSupporters of this bill have called it a Middle Class tax cut. That\u2019s not true. The lion\u2019s share of the money goes to corporations and households making a million dollars or more \u2013 NOT families struggling to get by from paycheck to paycheck. \nAnd what this bill gives the middle class with one hand, it takes away with the other \u2013 with devastating consequences for households with high medical costs, lots of student loans, or high state and local taxes.\nSupporters of this bill have claimed that it will keep companies from moving jobs overseas; create new jobs here at home; and raise wages for American workers. That\u2019s not true. While this bill cuts corporate tax rates, it creates NEW incentives for shipping US jobs abroad. \nFinally, does anyone really believe that tax cuts for corporations and the rich will trickle down to the rest of us? It\u2019s never worked before \u2013 not in 1981, not in 2001 and not in Kansas in 2012. Make no mistake \u2013 this massive tax cut for corporations and the rich will increase deficits and the national debt by trillions of dollars, sticking the rest of us, especially our kids, with the bill. \nMadam Speaker, this massive tax cut for corporations and the wealthy isn\u2019t a Middle Class tax cut. It won\u2019t create jobs or raise wages. It isn\u2019t simple, it isn\u2019t reform, and it certainly won\u2019t pay for itself. \nIf we want to increase economic growth, let\u2019s give a REAL tax break to the Middle Class. They\u2019ll put that money right back into the economy.
