As a former member of the House Oversight Committee, Congressman Edwards maintains full confidence in the ability of the Oversight Committee to conduct such an investigation; however, it became clear the American people deserve answers sooner rather than later.\n\n\u201cWhile I continue to support the House Oversight Committee in their investigation into Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators, I would not vote against any measure that makes these files more accessible to the American people. After nearly six years of being swept under the rug and termed a \u201cconspiracy theory\u201d by the prior administration, it is finally time for the American people to get answers about who the perpetrators of these heinous acts were, and for the victims to receive justice.
