These shortages have resulted in skyrocketing domestic ammunition prices and have raised concerns over the United States\u2019 military readiness.\n\nThe Ammunition Supply Chain Act requires the Secretary of the Army to provide a comprehensive report to Congress on the supply chain of ammunition manufacturing. The report will include information on sourcing raw materials used in ammunition production, examining weaknesses in the existing supply chain and the global demand for ammunition, and providing strategies for fostering public-private partnerships.\n\nMore information on the Ammunition Supply Chain Act can be found here.\n\nAdditional provisions of the Fiscal Year 2025 NDAA include:\n\nA 14.5% pay raise for junior enlisted service members and a 4.5% pay increase for all other members of our armed forces.\n\nImproving the service member cost of living allowance calculation to properly account for inflation.\n\nBanning transgender medical treatments for minors.\n\nProhibiting funding for critical race theory teaching and training in the military, service academies, and DoD schools.\n\nThe full text of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025 can be found here.\n\n###", 1, "2026-03-30T01:40:41Z", "2026-04-07T22:13:55Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://emmer.house.gov/media-center/press-releases/emmer-celebrates-inclusion-of-the-ammunition-supply-chain-act-in-the-annual-defense-bill"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.8626990020275116, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
