Of this funding, $399,808 will go to the traditional Housing Choice Voucher Program, and an additional $11,230 will be awarded for the Mainstream Voucher Program.\r\nThe Wichita Housing Authority's voucher programs allow families, seniors and those with disabilities to afford housing in the private market. The Mainstream Voucher Program specifically serves non-elderly Americans with cognitive and physical disabilities.\r\nKansans continue to face uncertainty and financial hardship due to the economic shutdowns to battle our recent public health crisis, said Rep. Estes. It's critical that vulnerable members of our community have access tosafe, reliable housingin the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. The CARES Actallowsthe federal government toassistWichita and communities across our state recover.\r\nRep.
