Ron Estes (R-Kansas) issued the following statement after Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-California) directed three committees \u2013 Oversight, Judiciary, and Ways and Means \u2013 to open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Biden.\n\n\"Kansans deserve to know the truth about President Biden's participation in his family's business dealings with foreign entities, and an impeachment inquiry is the logical next step that will allow us to uncover the facts,\" said Rep. Estes. \"House Republicans have uncovered an overwhelming amount of evidence including bank records, suspicious activity reports, emails, texts and witness testimony that reveal Joe Biden lied to the American people about his involvement in his family's influence peddling schemes.
