Faso Meets with Service Academy Nominations Advisory Board", "2017-12-04", "2017", "2017-12", "Republican", "House", "NY", "John Faso", "F000464", "faso.house.gov", null, null, "legacy", "Ulster County, NY \u2013\u00a0On December 3rd, Congressman John Faso (R-Kinderhook) met with the advisory board tasked with selecting the New York 19th congressional office's service academy nominations for admission in June 2018. The advisory board is made up of people who have either graduated from a military service academy, have a family connection to a military academy, or have otherwise served in the military.\r\n\u201cThe advisory board will play a critical role in selecting candidates to receive recommendations to our nation\u2019s service academies,\u201d said Faso. \u201cThe crop of students up for consideration are exemplary candidates, and I am looking forward to submitting recommendations on their behalf. Our service academies have produced some of our nation's finest leaders both in and out of the military, and I am proud that there is such great interest from local students who want to serve our nation.\u201d\r\n\r\n\r\n    \r\n        \r\n            \r\n        \r\n    \r\n\r\n\r\nThe advisory board has made their recommendations and those recommendations are in the process of being made to the respective service academies. \r\nA list of advisory board members is below:\r\nBack row: L to R: David White, Dr. Dean Robinson, Lt.
