She highlighted how the bill\u2019s tax provisions will deliver historic tax relief for working class North Dakotans, including the Baldwin family from St. Thomas, ND.\n\nImage\n\nBelow are her remarks as prepared for delivery:\n\nThank you, Mr. Speaker.\n\nI rise today in strong support of the One Big Beautiful Bill on behalf of these people and thousands of others like them.\n\nThey are not millionaires or billionaires.\n\nThey\u2019re family farmers.\n\nBrent and Stephanie Baldwin farm wheat, sugarbeets, edible beans, and soybeans in St. Thomas, ND.\n\nThey have three kids.\n\nThey are fourth generation farmers.\n\nAnd unless Congress acts, the tax relief they depend on\u2014the 199A deduction\u2014will expire at the end of this year.\n\nOur bill will permanently expand and increase this deduction for pass-through businesses like the Baldwins.\n\nIn 2020 alone, 67,000 taxpayers in my state, including many farmers, claimed the 199A deduction\u2014putting $682 million in their pockets.\n\nThat\u2019s real money for working class Americans.\n\nOur bill also eliminates the death tax for family-owned businesses.
