I voted for H.R. 4405 to build on this work and the pursuit of long-awaited transparency, accountability, and justice for these victims. After multiple administrations and Congresses have kept this case in darkness, today is another big step forward into the light.\u201d\n\nToday\u2019s legislation, brought to the floor through a discharge petition led by Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Ro Khanna (D-CA), directs the Department of Justice to release the records within 30 days of enactment, which requires approval by the Senate and signature of the President. This includes:\n\nToday\u2019s vote builds on Fedorchak\u2019s earlier support for H. Res. 668, which directs the House Oversight Committee to obtain and publicly release key documents tied to Epstein\u2019s crimes, detention, and death. That resolution\u2014already in effect\u2014includes a binding subpoena with the force of law and does not require Senate passage or presidential signature.
