Ray is the oldest living World War II Veteran in North Dakota.\n\nBelow are her remarks as prepared for delivery:\n\nMr. Speaker,\n\nToday, I rise to recognize a remarkable North Dakotan\u2014this handsome young man\u2014Ray Curtis of Minot.\n\nOn February 11th, Ray will turn 109 years old.\n\nHe is the oldest living World War II veteran in North Dakota and one of the oldest in our entire country.\n\nRay served our nation during one of the most defining moments in world history.\n\nLike so many from his generation, he answered the call without hesitation and helped secure freedom.\n\nRay now resides at Minot Lodge Senior Living, surrounded by family and caregivers.\n\nNorth Dakota is so proud of Ray Curtis. We are grateful for his service, his sacrifice, and his example.\n\nHappy birthday, Ray!\n\nCongratulations on a life well lived in service to our country.\n\nThank you, Mr. Speaker.
