Randy Feenstra (R-Hull), and the U.S. House of Representatives passed, two pieces of legislation to reduce the complex and costly regulatory burden on Iowa small businesses.\n\n\u201cIowa small businesses are the backbone of our Main Streets, support good-paying jobs, and power economic growth in communities of all sizes. Earlier this year, to support our small businesses, we increased the death tax exemption and made critical tax cuts permanent as part of President Trump\u2019s Working Families Tax Cuts. These provisions will grow our economy and help businesses keep their doors open,\u201d said Rep. Feenstra. \u201cHowever, our small businesses face too many regulatory burdens to operate, hire new employees, and make a profit, and under the Biden administration alone, small businesses faced almost $2 trillion in regulatory costs.
