Figures (AL-02) issued the following statement after the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama issued a preliminary injunction prohibiting Alabama from implementing a new congressional district map:\n\n\u201cI am pleased with the Court\u2019s decision, but this case is still not over. Although we expected the Court to reach this decision given the overwhelming evidence, we fully expect the State to immediately appeal the decision to the Supreme Court.
