The grant money is approved for use on several repairs and improvements in Dubuque. Our roads, highways, and bridges are critical to ensuring our communities continue to thrive, Congresswoman Finkenauer said, While a long term solution for repairing our infrastructure is needed, I am happy to see this type of investment in our district, and I know it will mean improvements that people will notice every day.  The grant can be applied toward: - Roadway repairs, intersection improvements, and a trail extension on the northwest side of Dubuque - Resurfacing, rehabilitating, and, adding signalized intersections at W. John Deere Road and U.S. 52 and W. John Deere Road and S. John Deere Road - Reconstructing approximately 3.1 miles of the Northwest Arterial - Adding turn lanes at the Peru Road and S. John Deere Road intersection - Adding southbound lane on S. John Deere Road from W. John Deere to South of Peru road - Constructing a new multi-use trail to connect the John Deere factory with the Heritage Trail Congresswoman Finkenauer is committed to rebuilding Iowa's infrastructure, and ensuring it's done with quality American-made materials and by local, local hard-working skilled laborers. As a member of the House Transportation & Highway Committee, she has introduced the bipartisan Rural Road Safety Act.
