In response to the announcement, Representative Michelle Fischbach issued the following statement:\n\n\u201cThe letter acknowledges the importance of cross-border travel for the economies of border communities, but it\u2019s incredibly disheartening that it\u2019s happening so late in the year. I have been urging the Administration to open the Northern border since I took office in January. I am so glad these businesses - that have gone through two devastating tourist seasons - can finally start recovering.
