As you stated, \u2018Lip service won\u2019t make up for the nearly four years of retroactive damage that\u2019s decimated our economy and forced ethanol plants to shutter.\u2019 If these rumors are correct, demand for over 5 billion gallons of renewable, clean fuels will be lost.\n\n\u201cBiofuels production is a major piece of the rural economy in our districts, therefore, we strongly urge you to direct your EPA to reconsider the rule to ensure that your Administration makes good on these promises to \u2018fight for family farmers and revitalize rural economies\u2026by ushering in a new era of biofuels.\u2019\u201d\n\nWhen he was running for president, Biden stated Trump-era RFS waivers were \u201charmful\u201d and called for \u201csetting strong [Renewable Volumes Obligation] levels for 2021.\u201d Now, it\u2019s again being reported that President Biden\u2019s Environmental Protection Agency [EPA] is \u201cconsidering big cuts to biofuel blending mandates for 2020, 2021 2022.\u201d This past June, it was reported the Biden Administration was \u201cconsidering ways to provide relief to U.S. oil refiners from biofuel blending mandates.\u201d\n\nYou can find a copy of the letter here.\n\nCo-leading the letter are Reps.
