The reckless \u201cDefund the Police\u201d movement has emboldened criminals and fueled anti-police rhetoric, worsening the grave danger our first responders face when they put on the uniform.\u201cIt is incumbent upon all of us to do everything we can to make sure those who serve and protect know how much we appreciate them. These three public servants understood the call to duty, ran toward the danger, and in doing so made the ultimate sacrifice; a debt that can never be repaid.\u201cIn Congress, we will continue to stand in strong support of our law enforcement and first responders, ensuring we do everything possible for them to do their job safely and effectively.\n\n\u201cWe will never forget the heroic service and sacrifice of these men and the impact they have made on so many of us across Minnesota.
