Huawei has deep ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and could pose a substantial national security threat due to the technology\u2019s proximity to military installations in Nebraska.\n\n\u201cNebraska contains a number of military installations critical to U.S. national security. One such site is Offutt Air Force Base, the Headquarters to the United States Strategic Command,\u201d Congressman Flood wrote. \u201cI find it deeply troubling if Huawei has hardware near Offutt or other military bases, missile silos or strategic military locations in the state of Nebraska.\u201d\n\nFor years, national security experts have raised concerns that Huawei\u2019s technology could be used to conduct espionage against the CCP\u2019s adversaries and competitors around the world.
