The tradition was started by Senator Hugh Butler in 1943 and has continued for more than eight decades.\n\nThis year, Congressman Flood\u2019s office hosted the Nebraska Breakfast, continuing a longstanding tradition in which offices in Nebraska\u2019s federal delegation alternate hosting responsibilities every year.
