After a pursuit ending at the nearby Home Depot parking lot, the suspect opened fire and officers returned fire. News outlets are welcome to use the footage for their reporting purposes.\n\nMadam Speaker, I rise to recognize the heroes of Nebraska law enforcement.\n\nLast Friday, as I was participating in the annual 'La Vista Days' celebration, the Papillion Police Department responded to an active shooter at a shopping center just down the road.\n\nOfficers located the suspect and began a pursuit that ended in a busy parking lot nearby, where officers opened fire.
