These investments\u2014ranging from semiconductor purchases and data-center construction to vendor financing, private funding, and bespoke financial arrangements\u2014have concentrated capital in a small set of companies with complex contractual structures.\n\n\u201cGiven the scale, complexity, and concentration of AI-related investment in recent years\u2014and the potential for hidden risks that could affect the financial system in the event of a downturn for the sector\u2014FSOC should act now to map exposures, close data gaps, and determine whether action is needed to make the U.S. economy more resilient in the event of an economic downturn.\u201d\n\nThis letter was cosigned by Reps.
