There are currently 67.5 million Medicare enrollees nationwide, including over 350,000 in Palm Beach County. Every year, Medicare enrollees have the opportunity to review their coverage and select a plan that best meets their needs. Recent changes to Medicare could save seniors thousands of dollars.\n\n\u201cThis week we marked the start of an important time of year for the over 350,000 Medicare beneficiaries in Palm Beach County,\u201d said Rep. Frankel. \u201cMedicare plans change every year, so seniors should check all coverage options to select the best plan for them.\u201d\n\nUnder the leadership of President Biden and Vice President Harris, as well as Democrats in Congress, we are lowering health care costs. The price of insulin is now capped at $35 per month, recommended vaccines\u2014including the shingles vaccine\u2014are available at no cost, and starting next year, there will be a $2,000 out-of-pocket cap for prescription drugs.\n\nOpen enrollment runs through December 7, 2024, for coverage beginning January 1, 2025.
