Lois Frankel (FL-21), Brenda Lawrence (MI-14), and Jackie Speier (CA-14), along with 56 members of DWWG sent a letter to the Chairman and Ranking Member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform requesting a Congressional investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct against President Trump.
At least 17 women have publicly accused the President of sexual misconduct, including forced kissing, and unwanted touching and groping. Mr. Trump has denied the allegations and called the women liars.
“The American people deserve a full inquiry into the truth of these allegations,” said Rep. Frankel.
“Regardless of the victim or alleged perpetrator, every voice deserves to be heard and justice demands transparency, accountability and respect of due process. A thorough investigation into these accusations of sexual misconduct by President Trump is long overdue,” said Rep. Lawrence

“While the President’s behavior certainly warrants a call for his resignation, the most important thing we in Congress can do right now is a comprehensive investigation,” said Congresswoman Speier. “What I find most disturbing is the fact that his victims were dismissed out of hand or, even worse, called liars. These women deserve to have us engage in a serious examination of the allegations and facts, as does the American public.”

The letter goes on to say: “In the time of ‘Me Too,’ women across the country are coming forward with their own harrowing stories of sexual harassment and assault. Members of Congress have also come under scrutiny and investigation, with some resigning, for improper sexual conduct. We cannot ignore the multitude of women who have come forward with accusations against Mr. Trump. With that said, the President should be allowed to present evidence in his own defense.”
Full text of the letter here.
###", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z
url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at
url
https://frankel.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=657
