Fudge (OH-11) is pleased to endorse the nomination of Dr. David Bronson, President of Cleveland Clinic\u2019s Regional Hospitals and Family Health Centers for a Commissioner position on the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC).\u00a0 Congresswoman Fudge, all members of the Ohio Congressional Delegation, and Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (FL-23) sent a joint letter today to the Comptroller General of the U.S. Government Accountability Office in support of Dr. Bronson\u2019s nomination.\r\n\r\n\t\u201cI am pleased to endorse Dr. Bronson, a physician with years of practice in internal medicine, an administrator and national health care leader, to share his expertise for the benefit of all Americans on the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission,\u201d said Congresswoman Fudge.\r\n\r\n\t\u201cDr. Bronson\u2019s leadership was instrumental in the creation of a new branch of the Ohio University Heritage School of Medicine at Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital in my district.\u00a0 This branch will train future generations of primary care physicians to serve our communities. \u00a0His considerable skills as a physician and his emphasis on care management have brought many benefits to NE Ohio residents and the Cleveland Clinic. \u00a0I am confident that Dr. Bronson\u2019s respect for the patient and keen insight into Medicare and national health care policy will be a strong asset to the MedPAC.\u201d\r\n\r\n\tClick here to see a copy of the letter.\r\n\r\n\tOn Background:\u00a0 The Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC) was created in 1997 as an independent Congressional agency to advise the U.S. Congress on issues affecting the Medicare program.
