Fudge (OH-11) released the following statement after the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) awarded $250,000 to 11 Northeast Ohio arts organizations:\r\n\r\n\tI am pleased the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) has recognized the importance of arts and culture to the Northeast Ohio community. The arts promote opportunities for Ohio families, spurring imagination, creating new experiences, and fostering the development of new ideas. Thanks to the NEA, 11th Congressional District recipients will expand and continue to provide valuable programs and initiatives in our communities. Join me in congratulating each of them.\r\n\r\n\tThe NEA awarded a total of $27.7 million in grants in the first round of funding for FY 2016. The 11 Northeast Ohio recipients were among 1,126 projects from 49 states plus American Samoa, the District of Columbia, and Guam to receive funds.
