Each time John took off, he carried the hopes and dreams of our nation and the American people with him. Known and loved around the globe, John will always be the Ohio hero who never forgot his roots.\r\n\r\n\t\"After his honorable discharge from the U.S. Marine Corps, John revolutionized America\u2019s space program.\u00a0 He was then elected to represent Ohio in the U.S. Senate.\u00a0 He advanced legislation to limit nuclear proliferation and was a staunch supporter of space exploration, science and education.\u00a0 His advocacy helped position Ohio as a leader in scientific innovation, advancement, and discovery. Northeast Ohio\u2019s NASA John H.
