I will continue fighting against this Orwellian \u201cministry of truth.\u201d\n\nBackground on the legislation:\n\nThe legislation bars federal funding for DHS\u2019 recently announced \u201cDisinformation Governance Board,\u201d to be headed by Executive Director Nina Jankowicz.\n\nJankowicz, who refers to herself as the \u201cMary Poppins of Disinformation,\u201d is a frequent purveyor of falsehoods, and appears sympathetic to the cause of censoring Americans.\n\nRecent falsehoods peddled by the Biden Administration include: the falsehood that Secretary Mayorkas has done an effective job managing the border crisis; the falsehood that economic contraction in Q1 of 2022 is actually hiding broad economic resiliency; the falsehood that Biden\u2019s $3.5 trillion spending bill costs zero dollars; the falsehood that inflation is a \u201chigh-class problem\u201d; and the falsehood that 70% of our current inflation is actually being caused by Vladimir Putin.\n\n###", 1, "2026-03-30T01:40:41Z", "2026-04-08T02:29:07Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://fulcher.house.gov/2022/05/05/id-18326cd9-469e-46c4-953e-69ae58f0ebd6/"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.9861690923571587, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
