Promoting domestic energy production, doing away with bureaucratic job-killing regulations, and protecting access to public lands for energy development and recreation are paramount if we are to fortify U.S. national security and continue growing our economic competitiveness on the global stage.\u201d\n\nBill Background:\n\nPromotes U.S. energy production by prohibiting the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from implementing the methane fee on oil and gas producers, and requiring the Secretary of Interior to resume quarterly onshore oil and gas lease sales.\n\nAllocates approximately $41.1 million to the state of Idaho, through the Payments in Lieu of Taxes (PILT) program, to offset lack of revenue due to the significant levels of federally owned land.\n\nPrioritizes funding for Tribes and Wildland Fire Management, including permanently addressing wildland firefighter pay.\n\nProtects access to public lands for grazing, recreation, and energy development by prohibiting the Bureau of Land Management\u2019s Conservation and Landscape Health rule from going into effect, and eliminates burdensome restrictions on hunting, fishing, and recreational shooting on federal lands.\n\n###", 1, "2026-03-30T01:40:41Z", "2026-04-07T21:24:45Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://fulcher.house.gov/2024/07/25/id-09bc3b62-d54e-41a2-b387-53c99c65fa2b/"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.9223112612962723, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
