{"database": "press", "table": "releases", "rows": [["https://fulcher.house.gov/2025/07/16/id-10185a2a-86ef-404d-be33-356782ca06d8/", "Fulcher Honors Fallen Idaho Firefighters on House Floor", "2025-07-16", "2025", "2025-07", "Republican", "House", "ID", "Russ Fulcher", "F000469", "fulcher.house.gov", "fulcher", "https://fulcher.house.gov/category/press-releases/", "scraper", "FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:\n\nCONTACT: Christiann\u00e9 Allen, Christianne.Allen@mail.house.gov\n\nWASHINGTON, D.C. \u2014 Today, U.S. Congressman Russ Fulcher (Idaho-01) took to the House floor to honor the firefighters killed in an ambush attack in North Idaho.\n\nKootenai County Fire and Rescue Battalion Chief Frank Harwood and Coeur d\u2019Alene Fire Department Battalion Chief John Morrison were fatally shot, and Coeur d\u2019Alene Fire Department engineer Dave Tysdal was severely injured, on June 29, 2025.\n\nCongressman Fulcher\u2019s remarks, as delivered:\n\nSpeaker, I rise to honor the life, service, and sacrifice of two of Idaho\u2019s bravest who we lost way too soon during an appalling ambush attack in Coeur d\u2019Alene, Idaho.\n\nOn Sunday, June 29, 2025, Battalion Chiefs Frank Harwood and John Morrison answered the call, as always, to reports of a fire on Canfield Mountain.\n\nBut upon arriving at the scene, they were cruelly ambushed by gunfire from a disturbed, cowardly individual.\n\nAs a result of shots fired, Chiefs Harwood and Morrison tragically succumbed to their injuries, and their colleague, Dave Tysdal, an engineer with the Coeur d\u2019Alene Fire Department, was severely wounded \u2013 but thankfully, is now recovering.\n\nThis evil act against our firefighters does not represent the Idaho way.\n\nI ask all Idahoans and Americans to pray for a full recovery for Mr. Tysdal and for comfort for all families involved.\n\nThese men represent the very best of Idaho.
