Hickenlooper and Bennet \u2013 to put politics aside and pass the clean CR to avert a SNAP crisis. With SNAP primarily administered at the county level, these commissioners are on the front lines, seeing the direct impacts of this shutdown on their community. Every day since October 1st, they\u2019ve heard firsthand from worried mothers with hungry children about their fear of not being able to access their benefits, jeopardizing their ability to put food on the table next month.\" - Reps. Evans, Boebert, Crank and Hurd\n\nThis week, 36 commissioners representing 17 different counties and nearly 2 million Coloradans signed onto an open letter to the United States Senate, urging them to pass the clean CR approved by the House of Representatives on September 19th.
